The incident happened on Schoolhouse Road in Franconia Township, where Rodgers recently moved from Collingswood, New Jersey. Before moving, he attended Collingswood High School, where he displayed his athletic ability in three sports during his four years.

After moving to Franconia, Rodgers continued his education at Williamson College of the Trades while actively participating on the football team. Additionally, he worked at Lehigh Valley Lawn.

The fatal crash happened around 7:15 a.m. June 26, on the 300 block of Schoolhouse Road near the intersection with Halteman Road. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that a Ford sedan had run off the road and collided with a tree. Fortunately, a passing motorist and a nearby Pennsylvania State Trooper acted quickly, rescued Rodgers from the vehicle and provided first aid before the car caught fire, police reported.

The fire was immediately extinguished by police and members of the Souderton Fire Department. Rodgers was then transported to Grand View Hospital by VMSC EMS, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival, according to authorities.

The incident is currently under investigation, Franconia Police Chief Michael Martin said. Impairment or excessive speed are not believed to have contributed to the crash.

Tributes will be held July 5th from 5-8pm and July 6th from 9-10:15am at Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes in Oaklyn. After that, the mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. in the parish of St. Joseph The Worker Parish in Oaklyn, followed by a graveside committal at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, as mentioned in Rodgers’ obituary.

In honor and memory of Ryan, a gathering will be held on Wednesday, July 5, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Thursday, July 6, from 9:00 am to 10:15 am, at the Creran Celebration Etherington & Creran Funeral Homes, located at 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the parish of St. Joseph The Worker, specifically in the church of St. Aloysius at 37 W. Haddon Ave., Oaklyn. After the mass, a graveside service will be held at the Kalvarije cemetery in Višnje brdo.

Ryan was employed at Lehigh Valley Lawn and attended Williamson College of the Trades, where he was active as a member of the football team. During his high school years at Collingswood High School, Ryan displayed his talents as a dedicated three-sport athlete, excelling in football, baseball and wrestling all four years.
