In the Friday, October 4 episode, the show’s co-host made his first on-screen mistake. After winning the week-long BetMGM Big Winners tournament, contestant Cody Hunger moved on to the bonus round and decided to solve the final puzzle in the “phrase” category.

Hunger spun the wheel and selected the additional letters “C,D,Y,O”, the letters that make up his name, to help him solve the four word puzzle. With 10 seconds to go to win the $94,900 jackpot, Hunger correctly guessed the phrase “out of the way,” but Seacrest needed a few seconds to pause before confirming his winnings.
