RYLAN Clark and Holly Willoughby have revealed their heartbreak following the death of their This Morning co-star.

Matty Lock, who appeared on the show several times to inspect hoovers, has tragically passed away at the age of 19.

This Morning paid tribute today, saying: “Everyone at This Morning is shocked and saddened by the news of the death of Matty Lock, aged just 19.

“He was a wonderful young man, a pleasure to work with, and his passion for vacuum cleaners and general mechanics was infectious.

“His family came to the studio and they were so proud that he turned a childhood hobby into a career.

“We will miss him and send our condolences to his family.”

Rylan, who appeared on the ITV daytime show, commented: “My God, it’s really sad. Sending love x”

Taking to her own Instagram Story, Holly shared a photo of the late presenter, writing: “So shocked and saddened to hear the news today. Matty was a wonderful person with a real passion for what he did…

“I love his friends and family at what must be a very difficult time.”

Matty was well known for his dedication to vacuum cleaners, a hobby he started when he was just two years old.

The youngster was also a well-liked member of the Labor Party in Sefton and Merseyside, and was recently elected as a town councilor in Maghull.

He was also a parish councilor in Lidijat.

Labor deputy leader Angela Rayner said: “Incredibly sad news, Matty has done so much for his community. My love and prayers are with his friends and family.”

Speaking in the past about his passion for vacuum cleaners, Matty said: “I pick them up on eBay or find them in skips and people have even started leaving them outside my back door.

“I can get a broken machine for around £5, fix it and sell it on for £50.”
