Sosie Bacon updates her famous father, Kevin Bacon, on what’s hot in music.
On Friday, Sept. 6, the actor, 66, shared a hilarious clip of the moment his daughter, 32, discovered that Sabrina Carpenter’s new single “Taste” seemingly references “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon,” a game that challenges people to are tied for actors up to Bacon in six film relationships or less.
The revelation, which happened over FaceTime, was shared on Kevin’s Instagram account on Friday, September 6.
The video call begins with Sosie grinning from ear to ear as her dad picks up the phone.

“I’m just hanging out, but I wanted to congratulate you on your latest achievement,” she tells him, causing him to pause and say, “I’m nervous now.”
“Sabrina Carpenter, one of the world’s biggest pop stars, mentioned you in a song,” Sosie explains, to her father’s disbelief.
“Really? What? No. What’s his name?” he asks. After Sosie tells him she’s referring to the song “Taste,” Kevin admits he’s unfamiliar with the tune.

His daughter plays a part of the song in which Carpenter, 25, sings, “You wonder why half his clothes are gone” / My body is where it is / Now I’m gone, but you’re still lying ‘ /Beside me, one degree of separation.”
Kevin immediately laughs and says, “OK, Sabrina Carpenter, one degree of separation.”

“Now you’re going to be big with the girls. I’m happy for you,” Sosie adds later, prompting Kevin to quip before the call ends, “Well, she obviously has taste. See what I did?”
