Suki Waterhouse welcomed the new year by doing laundry.
The Daisy Jones and six The 31-year-old actress shared a video on Instagram on Dec. 31 in which she explained that she’s a “changed woman” because she used to make videos with stains on her clothes, and now she’s “learned to clean up and become a grown woman.” She then shows her washing the Dior dress in the sink.
The video, which the mother-to-be recorded in her home in London, is part of The Laundress’s “Love at First Wash” campaign.

And while viewers loved seeing the singer’s growing baby bump in her crop top (she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Robert Pattinson), it was the seemingly unintentional move that sparked comments.
At the end of the clip, Waterhouse wears a sheer Dior dress and accidentally places one of the billowing sleeves above the flame of one of the candles flickering around the sink.
“You almost set your Dior dress on fire 😭,” wrote one commenter.
“I put the 🔥 emoji the other day before I realized you almost set your dress on fire 😅🥹🫣,” said another.
Fortunately, the dress, which Waterhouse jokingly says she prefers to hand wash because “it makes me feel like a 1950s prairie girl,” was undamaged.
Even the star’s mom commented on the video, telling Waterhouse she was proud of her daughter’s new skill.

Waterhouse, who has been in a relationship with Pattinson for more than five years, also sparked engagement buzz in recent weeks when she was photographed wearing a diamond ring. A source confirmed their engagement to PEOPLE, saying “they both want to be married. That’s important to them.”

A source also told PEOPLE in November that the couple is “very serious and serious” about expecting their first child together. “The arrival of the baby is an absolute joy for them,” the source said. “They are delighted beyond description.”
“They are ready for a child and looking forward to becoming parents. Even though they are both working professionals, it is something they want,” another source added.
“They know their lives are going to change and they’re excited.”
