SAG Awards 2024 In Memoriam Tribute Honors Matthew Perry, Tina Turner, Chita Rivera and More

During the 2024 SAG Awards, the Screen Actors Guild took a moment to remember the stars who died last year.

The In Memoriam montage at Saturday’s ceremony included celebrities such as Matthew Perry, Tina Turner, Chita Rivera, Angus Cloud, Andre Braugher, Lance Reddick, Ron Cephas Jones, Christian Oliver and more.

Naomi Watts opened the segment by sharing a touching message to the dozens of actors who have been lost over the past year.

“We have lost so many extraordinary actors in the past year, but because they touched the world with their talent, we all share their loss. Those of us who worked with them, with them, deeply feel their loss and their absence,” Watts, 55, said.

“Of course their memory will live on in our memories of the precious time we shared together — and through their work, their performances captured in countless picture frames, always ready to dance across the screen and come alive again, if only for a brief moment.”

Dean Lewis’ “How Do I Say Goodbye” followed the montage also starring Suzanne Somers, Treat Williams, Alan Arkin, Carl Weathers, Tom Wilkinson, Harry Belafonte, Adan Canto, Billy Miller and Tyler Christopher.
