While Rani Mukerji’s character in the movie Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway ends up winning custody of her two kids, Sagarika Chakraborty, the real-life “Mrs. Chatterjee,” is still living away from her kids as she battles to make ends meet as a single mother.
After a protracted legal battle, Sagarika Chakraborty, who the Norwegian government determined to be an unfit mother, ultimately received custody of her kids. Despite winning the lawsuit, she now resides in a state other than West Bengal, where her children are.
In an effort to better their life and provide for her family and them, Chakraborty is still avoiding her kids, according to a report by Ei Samay. She is struggling to make ends meet in India while her spouse stays in Norway.
Sagarika Chakraborty claimed during an interview with the magazine that their legal dispute caused them to split up from her husband Anurup, who chose to stay in Norway and not pay her child support, while she returned to India with their children.
In order to live with her father, a heart sufferer, she moved back to Kolkata. Sagarika had to find a means to support her family because her father and two children were depending on her.
Sagarika made the decision to move to Noida in search of employment while her children remain in Kolkata where they are pursuing their education. Now that her children are being raised by her maternal grandparents, she has relocated to Pune for her new career. Chakraborty also intends to publish a book about her adversities.

Sagarika Chatterjee Career
Sagarika Bhattacharya has worked as a software engineer for numerous businesses in West Bengal and Kolkata. From July to November 2018, Sagarika worked as a software developer and salesperson. She then worked as a software engineer at Microbase Infotech Ltd.
She worked as a software engineer at Soha Softech from 2020 to 2021. From July 2021 to November 2021, she was employed at Lee and Nee Exports. She joined Chetu, a renowned US-based software development company, in late 2021.
In 2019, she began working as an author with Vishwakarma publications, a book publishing company with its headquarters in Pune, Maharashtra. Sagarika took part in the Pune Literary Festival event in 2022.
