White House truck crash
On May 22, 2023, Sai Varshith Kandula was arrested by police after he boldly rammed a U-Haul truck into a security barrier in Lafayette Square near the White House in Washington, DC. His radical intention appears to be “to assassinate Joe Biden, win the White House, seize power from the government, and take charge of the country.” A post-arrest investigation revealed that Candula rented an orange and white box truck from U.S. rental company U-Haul after arriving at Dulles International Airport from St. Louis on a one-way ticket. About 8:00 pm. After crashing the vehicle into a security barrier, he reportedly got out of the front seat and began waving a red swastika flag before being taken into custody. Investigators later recovered an array of items from the car, including a Nazi flag, duct tape, a backpack and a notebook filled with writing.

During the interrogation, Servasis reportedly claimed that his White House mission was successful because he had conveyed his message to entities such as the U.S. Secret Service. He said,
Regardless, my message will be received whether I enter the White House or not. “
Asked if he understood the consequences of his actions, he admitted he had expected he would be arrested. Throughout the interrogation, Kandula referred to a “green book,” which he described as a container for his thoughts. He revealed that he had written down in this green book his plans to break into the White House and the actions he envisaged once he took power. U.S. Park Police filed a series of charges against Sai Varshith, including threatening to assassinate, kidnapping or injuring the president, vice president or their relatives, assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless driving, trespassing and damaging federal property. The formal indictment alleges that Kandula caused more than $1,000 in damage to the White House exterior barrier.

- According to sources, Kandula viewed Adolf Hitler as a strong leader. He reportedly believed the Nazis had a glorious past, a view he expressed during the investigation.
