Himani Bhatt Shivpuri is an Indian actress who plays supporting roles in Bollywood films and Hindi TV series. She is best known for her role as ‘Razia’ in the film Hum Apke Hai Koun.

Himani Shivpuri was born on 24 October 1960 in Dehradun, Uttarkhand (age 57 years 2018). Her zodiac sign is Scorpio. She attended Doon School in Dehradun. There she was taught by her father Haridutt Bhatt, who was the Hindi teacher at her school. Himani actively participates in drama activities organized by the school. After completing her studies, she received a Bachelor of Science degree. Himani was fascinated by theater and movies, and during her school days, she used to bunk down to watch movies at the cinema in between classes. She graduated with a Master’s degree (Organic Chemistry). After graduation, she began a career in theater. Eventually, she joined the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi, from where she graduated in 1984. Thereafter, she worked briefly with NSD Repertory Company before moving to Mumbai.

She was married to Gyan Shivpuri, who died in 1995. Himani has a son, Katyayan Shivpuri.
Profession
Shivpuri started her acting career in 1984 with the film Ab Ayega Mazaa. She was next seen in the film “Annie to Those” starring Arundhati Roy, Shah Rukh Khan and Roshan Seth. She made her breakthrough in 1994 with Sooraj R. Barjatya’s musical romantic comedy “Hum Aapke Hain Koun…!”
She made her television debut in 1986 with the show “Yatra”. Later, she appeared in DD National’s TV series Humrahi. Her role as Devki Bhojai in the show was widely appreciated and brought her huge popularity. After Humrahi, Shivpuri became a regular on Indian television and appeared in popular shows like “Kasautii Zindagi Kay”, “Dollar Bahu”, “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”, “Ek Ladki Anjaani Si”, “India Calling” , “Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai”, “Baat Hamarri Paki Hai” and “Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah”.
Himani has played some memorable roles in movies like “Koyla”, “Pardes”, “Anjaam”, “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham…”.
Apart from films and TV series, she is an active theater artist and has acted in plays like “Mitra Marjani” and “Draupadi”.
Himani also played a short role in the documentary “The Facebook Generation”. The film was a top ten finalist in a filmmaking competition organized by the Global Education and Leadership Foundation.

Indore-based film producer Muhammad Ali accused Himani of cheating on him. According to him, she had agreed to work in two of his films, Real Cyanide and Tere Ishq Mein Qurban, and received an advance of Rs 5 lakh from him. However, she left midway through the second film and refused to star, causing huge financial losses to the producers.
