Sainik School in Haryana
Sainik Schools: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently said that Sainik schools will be set up in various districts of the state in a public-private partnership mode. This will increase the country’s contribution to the armed forces as well as train a significant number of Agniveers.
Khattar was speaking at the closing ceremony of All India Sainik School National Games-2023, which was held at Sainik School in Kunjpura, Karnal. He also disclosed funding of 10 million rupees for the construction of school infrastructure.

During this event, various competitions were held in which more than 650 players from different Šainik schools across the country participated.
He claimed that every tenth recruit in the Indian Army is from Haryana.
The state opened its second Sainik School in Rewari district in 2008 and the third is currently under construction in Matanhail, Jhajjar, with 61 hectares of land earmarked for it in 2021.
He claimed that the government was actively promoting sports culture to establish Haryana as a sports superpower. Khattar claims that the government has invested in state-of-the-art sports facilities at all levels.

He added that the phrase “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Pahalwan” has great significance in Haryana as it celebrates the bravery and might of the state’s wrestlers, farmers and soldiers. All three groups make a great contribution to the state.
With players from the state winning 30 out of the total 107 medals won by India at the just concluded Asian Games in China, Khattar asserted that the country has achieved great things. He continued, “Haryana has received great honor as a result of this remarkable achievement.”
