Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz Hold Hands on WSJ. Magazine’s Innovator Awards' Red Carpet

Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz conquer the city that never sleeps.

The Bandidas costars, 58 and 50 respectively, hit the red carpet for WSJ. Magazine14th Annual Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on Tuesday, October 29.

The pair held hands as they smiled and posed next to each other, each channeling their own version of glamour.

Cruz commanded the show in a skin-tight glittering silver dress. Her low-cut top featured a draped design and the daring thigh-high split showed off her strappy heels.

Hayek came in hot in a floor-length red strapless dress. The tailored garment included a structured waist for a fashionable moment.

The actresses were joined by Ariana Grande, Aubrey Plaza, Cynthia Erivo, Reese Witherspoon and Deacon Phillippe, Emily Ratajkowski, Sarah Paulson and several others.

This comes as Hayek stars in Angelina Jolie’s new drama No Bloodaccording to the book by Alessandro Baricco from 2002. She previously praised the Oscar winner, 49, for her directorial skills to PEOPLE, saying, “It was a life-changing experience for me making this movie.”

“After so many years, to feel that someone really listens to me, really sees me, really creates a safe space for me, really embraces me, really admires my talent and lets me know… I discovered things about myself as an actress. I Was so proud of myself for doing things I couldn’t believe I was doing and how easy it was,” she explained to PEOPLE.Entertainment Weekly suite at the Toronto International Film Festival, where No Blood pre-produced.

She further shared that she was “surprised” by how “warm, generous and kind they are.” Evil the star was the actors.

The actress who starred with Jolie in the 2021 film Eternalshe shared that the two even changed the dynamic while filming their new movie together. She explained: “In [Eternals] I was a bit of a mother figure to her. In this film, I felt like she was my mother figure because she would come to the set and run it like a family.”

“She was a very effective mother, but she was also there emotionally every step of the way,” she added.

Earlier this month, Frida star also celebrated her stepson Augustine “Augie” James on Instagram in honor of his 18th birthday. She shared a series of family photos of the teenager, who is the son of Hayek’s longtime husband François-Henri Pinault and supermodel Linda Evangelista.

“Happy 18th birthday Augie,” Hayek wrote in the caption. “You are officially a grown man who just became legal in Mexico and France at least. 😱.”
