Hayek often calls out her daughter on social media. Last year, she celebrated Valentina’s 15th birthday by sharing a post with childhood photos of her sleeping and just walking, with the youngster munching on a rainbow colored face cookie while posing near a happy-faced birthday cake.
“Happy 15th birthday to my beloved. Valentina, you are my everything,” the proud mom wrote at the time. “Thank you for lighting up our lives with the power of your wonderful spirit. It is a privilege to be your mom. I love you with all my heart.”
Blake Lively, who worked with Hayek on the 2012 film Savageshe commented on the post, “I took that second photo 😢🥹🥹♥️ my baby!!”

In May 2022, the mother-daughter duo posed together on the cover Vogue Mexico.
In that time, Frida star took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos from the shoot, in which she and her daughter – who she shares with husband François-Henri Pinault, along with his three children from previous relationships – pose together in a few casual snaps.

Hayek was thrilled to share the magazine’s cover with her daughter, calling it “a great Mother’s Day gift” in her caption.
“Love these beautiful photos of @nicobustos and this special moment with my Valentine,” Hayek wrote. “Thank you @voguemexico.”
Speaking with Vogue Mexico at that time, Valentina spoke openly about her desire to follow in her mother’s footsteps.
“I want different things, but I would like to be an actress and then a director because that’s what makes sense in my head,” she told the magazine. “Also, I think it must be harder to be a director if you don’t have experience on the other side of the screen, that might help with directing.”
