After completing engineering, Saloni started working as a Java developer at multinational company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in 2016. Due to the monotony of corporate work, she decided to explore other career options and eventually she left her job at TCS. Saloni decided to pursue an MBA, so she took the entrance exam and passed. Before joining the institute for her MBA, she was approached by Delhi-based modeling agency Purple Thoughts and signed a six-month modeling contract on behalf of the agency. While working at a modeling agency, Saloni met new people, traveled to different places, and took on different modeling and ramp opportunities, which ultimately led to her transition from engineering to modeling. Saloni visited Mumbai for a specific modeling assignment and later she enrolled in acting and theater courses in Mumbai. As a result, Saloni began to gravitate toward acting and appeared in various theater productions.
