Salt Bae is a Turkish butcher, chef and food entertainer. He is the owner of Nusr-Et Steakhouse restaurant in Abu Dhabi. He shot to fame in January 2017 when a video of him preparing and seasoning a steak went viral and became an iconic meme.

After dropping out of school, he worked as an apprentice butcher in the Kadikoy district of Istanbul.
