In 1948, Elizabeth Jackson gave birth to a boy named Samuel Leroy Jackson in Washington. She raised him in Chattanooga, Tennessee during his childhood. His father, Roy Henry Jackson, died of poisoning. He was a stutterer who was abandoned by his father when he was a child. He worked hard hours and sought a career as an actor.
Jackson was educated in many different schools. During that period, he liked to play the French horn and the trumpet. He suffered from stuttering throughout his childhood. He intended to study marine biology at Morehouse College in Atlanta. After realizing his acting skills, Jackson changed careers. In 1972, he co-founded the ‘Just Us Theater Company’ and graduated the following year.
