On August 7, 2020, the Central Bureau of Investigation registered a case against him and five others. He was also questioned by the Mumbai Police and later, the Enforcement Directorate summoned him. On September 4, 2020, he was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for his involvement in the drug deal in Sushant’s case.
