Sarah Drew Shares Sweet Photos of Her Kids Performing in Production of Frozen: ‘I’m Bursting with Pride’

Sarah Drew is raising two theater children!

The Grey’s Anatomy The 43-year-old star was “bursting with pride” on Saturday when she took to Instagram to share photos and videos of her children performing in Disney’s California Children’s Theater production Frozen.

Drew’s daughter Hannah Mali Rose, 9, played Anna, a natural choice because she looks like a mini version of the Disney princess with her red hair. Hannah’s older brother, Micah Emmanuel, 12, played Kristoff.

“This was Hannah’s first major starring role and it was magical. 🥹🥹 Micah created such a hilariously unique character in his interpretation of Kristoff,” Drew captioned a video of the performance on Instagram.

“Watching these kids grow in confidence is probably my favorite part of parenting,” she added. “I’m bursting with pride here 😭😭😭.”

The Cruel summer star explained that performing gives both of her children – whom she shares with her husband, Peter Lanfer – a similar sense of confidence and joy as she does.

“Mostly I just love how much joy those kids feel and radiate when they’re on that stage! The theater kid in me is absolutely DYING here!!” she added in her caption.

Hilarie Burton — who was a guest at Grey’s Anatomy while Drew was a series regular — he commented on the post, “CUT!!!!!!!!!”

Drew also shared a series of photos on her Instagram Story of her children posing together, with her and other cast members.

Since leaving ABC’s hit medical drama in 2018, Drew has written two Christmas movies for Lifetime and continued to act. She returned to the series twice as Dr. April Kepner.

In 2021, she returned to help Jesse Williams, who played her on-screen lover, Dr. Jackson Avery, get out on his own. The costars are back together for the series’ 18th season finale in 2022.
