Saturday Night Live Alum Victoria Jackson, 65, Says Her Cancer Is Inoperable: 'I've Had a Fantastic Life'

Victoria Jackson estimates she has about three years to live after doctors discovered her cancer had returned.

On Wednesday, August 14, Saturday night live alum, 65, confirmed in her book “Has the cancer returned?” Instagram video series that her cancer has returned.

In the nearly 8-minute video, the actress said her cancer was inoperable, explaining that doctors “can’t operate and cut out the marble in my chest that’s resting on my trachea and would end up suffocating me to death.”

According to Jackson, her doctors scheduled a “magic pill” to be delivered to her home within 12 hours. She said the drug contains Ribociclib, a type of cancer growth blocker, she said, “and it will reduce the marbles, hopefully.”

She added that she had researched life expectancy with treatment and said that patients who take the “magic pill” “have 32.6 months to live”. Something like that.”

However, in her Instagram caption, Jackson gave a slightly longer time frame.

“Cancer news: I have 34.8 months to live unless I get hit by a meteor, shot by a MAGA hater, get Covid again or WW3 breaks out,” she captioned the post.

The Marriage haven the actress remained positive in her social media video, saying: “I’ve had a fantastic life.”

While Jackson seemed happy with how she spent her time, she admitted there are a few milestones she’s still looking forward to.

“I would like to see my grandson born — his name is Jimmy — in October and get to know him a little. And I would love to see my daughter Aubrey have a child,” Jackson said.

Jackson first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in 2016.

In an Instagram post dated Aug. 1, the comedian filmed herself searching for information online.

“Okay, I’m trying to see if my marble they found in my lung is cancer or not,” she said in the video.

Her caption seemed to confirm that it was.

“It’s cancer! Back from 9 years ago!” she wrote, followed by a Bible verse.

Jackson appeared as a cast member on SNL from 1986 to 1992, and was known for her appearances on Weekend Update, as well as her impersonations of other actresses such as Roseanne Barr, Sally Struthers, and Zsa Zsa Gabor.
