Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars Team Up for 'Die with a Smile' Video — Watch!

After days of teasing, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars collaboration is rumored to be finally here.

On Friday, August 16, the global pop stars dropped a brand new duet titled “Die With a Smile,” along with a vintage-themed music video. The visual begins with Mars singing the lyrics and playing the guitar. The camera later opens to reveal Lady Gaga, sitting at the piano with a cigarette in her mouth. The duo, who fit in denim and red outfits, create flawless harmony with the band in the background. From time to time, flashes enhance the intimate setting, and at one point Gaga gets up from behind the piano to dance.

Gaga, 38, and Mars, 38, confirmed their collaboration on social media just hours before she called it quits, sharing a single cover featuring the two dressed in matching red and blue rodeo outfits.

“WHILE YOU WAIT LG7…’DIE WITH A SMILE’ duet with @brunomars ❤️‍🔥,” the “Bad Romance” singer captioned an Instagram post Thursday, referring to her upcoming seventh studio album.

The duo seemingly left no doubt about their song on Tuesday when Gaga shared a teaser clip of her playing slow piano on Xu (formerly of Twitter) while wearing a Mars T-shirt. The latter then fueled the rumors by quoting the singer’s post with a wide-eyed emoticon.

The next day, the “Uptown Funk” hitmaker returned the favor to Gaga by posting a photo of himself pointing to a skull-print T-shirt with her name on it.

“Die with a Smile” is Mars and Gaga’s first song together, but the two shared the stage at the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris, where they performed a medley of their songs live alongside The Weeknd. Individually, however, the pair’s new single marks their first new release in some time.

Mars hasn’t released a solo LP since 2016 24K Magic. Although he joined forces with Anderson .Paak in 2021 to form their Grammy-winning group Silk Sonic and release a single album together, An evening with Silk Sonic.

“I feel so grateful, my heart is calm. It’s like meditation,” she added. “I can’t wait for you to hear what I’m working on.”

Next, per BillboardThe 13-time Grammy winner surprised fans in Paris with snippets of songs from her upcoming album after performing at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics on July 26.

“Deeply touched by my French fans outside the hotel this week. Going out tonight and saying goodbye with a few seconds #LG7,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories before stepping out to play new music.

Last month, a source told PEOPLE that Gaga has “never been happier” about the music she’s been making lately, adding, “She’s feeling the most creative she’s ever been.”
