Savannah Chrisley Honors Late Ex Nic Kerdiles on What Would Have Been His 30th Birthday: ‘This One Hurts’

Savannah Chrisley continues to reminisce about Nic Kerdiles and their favorite moments together.

On what would have been Kerdiles’ 30th birthday, Unlocked The podcast host shared a touching video tribute on Thursday, filled with various moments from the former couple’s time together.

“I didn’t know this time last year would be the last time we’d sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to you… but BOY I’M HAPPY TO HAVE THE LAST ONE WITH YOU😭,” she captioned the post set to Steven Lee Olsen’s “Happy Heavenly.” “I wish I was making you carrot cake right now… I can’t stop going through all the memories in my mind. I’d joke about how old you are and I’m pretty sure I called you 30 since you were 25 🤣.”

“God…I miss you. I feel you all around me…I see all the signs,” she continued. “We may have broken up, but I never stopped loving you. Part of me always thought we might find our way back… but who knows. I wish we could celebrate 30 so much! I wish I could have seen you’re a damn good dad! You’ve always wanted this… this hurts. What I wouldn’t do for that smile and ‘I love you baby..’ right now ❤️”

Concluding her post, Chrisley, 26, added: “HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET ANGEL 👼🏽”

Kerdiles was a professional ice hockey forward who later played briefly in the National Hockey League for the Anaheim Ducks. After retiring from the sport in 2019, he found success as a realtor and broker in Nashville.

He worked with Compass Nashville before his death in September 2023, which was the result of a motorcycle accident. PEOPLE has since confirmed that Kerdile’s death has been ruled an accident and was caused by multiple blunt force trauma injuries, including broken bones, brain bruising and scratches.

According to TMZ, an autopsy report found that there were traces of ethanol in Kerdiles’ bloodstream at the time of the crash.

Kerdiles started dating Chrisley in 2017. The couple got engaged in 2019, but called off their wedding in July 2020 and split for good in September 2020.

After his death, Chrisley knows best alum handed out several tributes in honor of Kerdlies. At first, she posted the heartbreaking statements on her Instagram Story, saying that she would “keep our last ‘I love you’ messages forever.”
