Scarlett Spam (@scarlettsspam2) seemed to be your average TikTok influencer, but she recently became popular on the short video site after her real age was revealed. Most fans assumed that the influencer was between the ages of 15 and 25, but that idea turned out to be incorrect. The announcement of the age of the creator surprised her fans, and some even claim that Scarlett Spam is lying about her age.
The real age of Scarlett Spam
Scarlett Spam’s appearance is very deceiving, with many assuming she is in her late teens or early twenties. According to her TikTok profile, the TikTok influencer has just entered adolescence and is only 13 years old. Despite this being Spam’s second account, she already has 1.4 million followers, after her previous one was banned with 800,000 followers. She just started posting stuff on her new account in January, and she’s already gotten 19.3 million likes.
Her chosen content niche of lifestyle, lipsync and POV films resonated with her audience, with most of her videos receiving 4 million views or more. Her two most popular videos had 15.2 million views and 1.7 million and 1.2 million likes, respectively. However, the latest revelation of Scarlett Spam’s age has only increased her popularity. Due to the rise in popularity of the TikToker as a result of this incident, several impersonators have claimed that he is older than 13 years old. On March 29, the TikToker reacted to these allegations in the comments section, calling them false. She wrote,
“If ever [hear] “I” says anything about my age other than the fact that I’m 13, that wasn’t me.” It was [someone] impersonating me and spreading false information.”
Thirteen-year-old Scarlett Spam caused mixed reactions among fans. When fans discovered that Spam was not the young adult they imagined, but a seventh grader, they were inundated with comments from trolls. Among the harsh remarks were several who praised the 13-year-old influencer.
According to one user,
“I’ve never seen a 13-year-old suffer this much abuse, so keep your head up.”
Another expressed surprise at her age, a sentiment echoed by many, stating,
“There’s no way you’re 13.”
A fellow video producer criticized commenters’ conflicted attitude towards Spam before and after they found out her age, saying:
“They claim you’re “overrated”, but they were the ones who pumped you up in the first place, like that – you’re so lovely.”
Within three hours, the video was uploaded and Spam’s TikTok addressing concerns about her age and warning other fans against spreading false information had 500,000 views.
