School Timings in Bangalore 2023-24: Department of School Education and Literacy, Karnataka may revise the school timings for schools in Bangalore after receiving suggestions from the Karnataka High Court. According to media reports, the Department will hold a meeting to discuss the school schedule tomorrow: October 5, 2023.
School Timings in Bangalore 2023-24 likely to change due to traffic issues. Currently, schools start working from 8.30 am. These times are expected to move by 1 hour or 30 minutes. The move will ensure that there is no congestion on the roads during peak hours.
Stakeholders Concerned About Bangalore School Time Tables 2023-24
School authorities, private transport companies and guardians are not at all happy with this decision because it can affect the mental and physical health of children, as well as parents. To deal with the situation, they proposed an alternative of deploying more police personnel in major traffic areas.
School management, parents may suffer due to Bangalore school timetable 2023-24
Karnataka Association of School Management (KAMS) general secretary Shashi Kumar D said the revision of school timetables will only make things more difficult for both parents and children. Everyday household chores start at 4.30 am. If the time is set earlier, parents may have to shorten the sleeping time, which leads to a deterioration in well-being (physical and mental).
He further added that not only the parents but also the entire school management including teaching and non-teaching staff will have to face difficulties if the schedule of schools in Bangalore is changed. Just like parents, they will have to wake up early which puts pressure on them. He will have to get to school before the students, which will cause great inconvenience.
UP School hours changed
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has changed school timings for public schools. The opening and closing schedule for secondary and higher secondary schools in the country has been revised. Also, the authorities have changed the holiday time this year. These changes happen every year and are applicable to all schools throughout UP.
