The boy was reportedly stabbed three times by another student as he passed the lessons – with terrified students who watched.
Officers ran into the school while the students were inserted in a lock-before the 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder.
The teachers raced to perform an ambulance as an ambulance.
The boy was transported to a hospital in serious condition, but unfortunately he died shortly after his arrival.
Both teenagers are considered to be students at school – which is currently closed.
The arrested teenager remains in custody and was questioned by specially trained officers on suspicion of murder.
Assistant police officers South Yorkshire Lindsey Butterfield said the boy had “sustained” serious injuries “and died shortly later.
Speaking beyond Force headquarters, she said: “I share with you with great sadness with you today, the teenager died after a sting at Sheffield school earlier today, our thoughts with family of boys, his friends and friends and the whole school community.
“At 12.17, the emergency rooms were invited to the Catholic Secondary School of all Saints at Granville Road.
“The victim, a 15-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries and despite the best efforts of the ambulance service, unfortunately she died soon.
“The 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in our custody at the moment.”
Director Sean Pender said in a earlier message to his parents: “I write to inform you that we have been dealing with an extremely serious incident here at school today, which resulted in the locking process.
“The incident involved two students, one of whom we believe he was seriously injured. All other students are contained and safe.
“Police and paramedics are present at the school. Once the police allow us, we will publish all students from school.
“I understand the level of anxiety that you will feel without the knowledge of the nature of the incident, but at this point I have limited information that I will share with you while on the spot we have police and paramedice.

One teenager claimed that the boy was “stabbed three times.”
The sun contacted the school for comment.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said that “the whole country” would mourn the boy’s family.
Starmer said, “The terrible stab in Sheffield is the one where I think the whole country would like to contact family, friends, school, the whole community, in their sadness and grieve with them.
“Obviously, there will be an investigation, but I think at this point I am simply speaking for the land, especially hit by individuals, especially families, but everyone influenced this awful situation – the young man went to school and did not. T returned home.
“And so my first thoughts are as a premiere and as a father with family.”

Assistant Chief police officer Butterfield continued: “We know that what happened will cause significant troubles and concerns.

“Although we are in the early stages of our inquiries, we work in pace to build a complete picture of how that tragedy took place.
“We invite you to be aware that there are loved ones at the center of this and they mourn the deep loss of teenagers in the most assembled circumstances.
“Therefore, we would ask you to avoid speculation and sharing of internet content that could be disturbing and harmful to our investigation.
“We invite anyone with any information that they believe can help us get in touch.”
Sheffield Heeley Louise Haigh said she said she would “have to answer a serious question” after a fatal stitch.
Labor MP added: “The terrible news that a young student from Saints High School died.
“All my thoughts are with his family and friends, and the whole community in all the saints.
“The teenager is in custody, and police in South Yorkshir assured her parents that there was no lasting risk at school.
“Obviously, a criminal investigation will happen, but it will have to answer serious questions about how this could happen and I will work with the school, the police and the council to make sure they are.”
South Yorkshire Mayor Oliver Coppard said: “This morning, a teenager went to school like thousands of other wide Yorkshire, but he would not return home; the young man who was a member of our community, with a whole life in front of him.
“My love, my thoughts and my prayers are with his family and friends and the whole community of Catholic high school of all saints.”
Mr. Coppard, who has the responsibilities of police and crime, added: “The vast majority of our young people do not wear knives, but one frequency of crime crime is too much, because when we see that the crime crime is happening too often the consequences are extremely devastating, as it is today.
“I talked to the main police officer and offered her his full support as he conducts an investigation and continues to do whatever he can to prioritize the fight against the crime of a knife in South Yorkshire.”
The manager of a joint center near the school claimed that “children are afraid” because there was an increase in crime in the area.
Amaan Ahmed, one of the managers in the Court Asian Community and the Mosque in the nearby Norfolk Road, said: “This area recently recorded a crime increase.
“Cars are stealing and vandalizing, there has been an increase in antisocial behavior – this is quite widespread in the area.
“It is concerned, especially as we are the center of the community. We provide the ability for people to pray and have children who are afraid.
“We are very sad when we hear news from school.”
