Haryana schools closed: The Board of School Education has declared a holiday for all government and private schools on October 21, 2023. The closure of schools has been announced due to the HSSC Group D examination scheduled to be held on Saturday. The authorities also said that schools can fix classes on any other holiday (if necessary). Check out the latest Haryana school closure news here.

“It is hereby notified that the government has decided to declare 21 October 2023 as a non-working day for all government and private schools for written examination for CET Group D posts and staff not designated for examination duty will not be allowed to enter the premises keeping in mind the sensitivity exam,” says the directorate’s instructions for district education officers.

“Saturday will be a holiday in all schools in Haryana due to Haryana Staff Selection Commission Group D examination. In this regard, the Directorate for Education has issued instructions,” the State Public Relations Service announced, published on the X microblogging site.

Haryana schools closed: NTA to conduct HSSC Group D exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the Haryana Staff Commission Central Eligibility Test (HSSC CET) written test for the post of Group D. The exam is held on 21st and 22nd October 2023 in 2 shifts. The morning shift will last from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. While the evening shift will be held from 15:00 to 16:45.

UP schools closed due to UPPSC PET exam in 35 districts

Apart from the closure of schools in Haryana, schools in Uttar Pradesh will also remain closed on October 28 and 29, 2023 for the UPPSC PET examination in 35 districts. This decision has been taken to facilitate the smooth conduct of the examination as more than 20 million candidates will appear in the state entrance examination.
