Schools in UP, Uttarakhand closed

Schools to close in 2023: According to media reports, schools in Uttarakhand and some areas of UP will continue to close from July 10-17 due to Kanwar Yatra. This includes 1st to 12th grade schools and Anganwadi centres. On the other hand, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority, DDMA, has asked schools, colleges and universities in Delhi to remain closed until Sunday due to heavy rain and flooding. Parents should stay in touch with school authorities.

Schools closed in Uttarakhand

According to Haridwar district administrative order, schools in Uttrakhand will remain closed from 10 to 17 July 2023 due to Kanwar Yatra. This command is applicable to all grades from 1st to 12th grade, including Anganwadi schools.

UP schools are closed

In Ghaziabad UP, all schools have been ordered to declare a holiday until 15 July 2023, in view of Kanwar Yatra. While in Muzzafarnagar, all government and private educational institutions have been ordered to close from 8 to 16 July 2023.

School closures in Delhi

Meanwhile, heavy rains in Delhi caused flooding and property damage. Many roads are closed and there are reports of flooding in many areas. In response to the situation, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority ordered the closure of all schools, colleges and universities in the city until Sunday.

All government offices providing basic services will remain open, but all other government offices will work remotely until Sunday. Private offices are also advised to work from home until Sunday.

Punjab schools closed

In a recent update, Punjab Govt. Extended public holidays in all private/supported/accredited and government schools in the state until July 16. Public holidays declared as directed by Bhagwant Maan Ji due to rain big. Schools are scheduled to reopen on July 17, 2023.
