Sean Combs Sued By Record Producer for Sexual Harassment and Assault

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused of sexual harassment by a former employee in a new lawsuit.

On Monday, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, the music mogul’s former producer and recording artist, 54, filed a lawsuit in federal court in New York claiming Combs sexually harassed, drugged and threatened him for more than a year.

Jones is seeking $30 million in damages.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Jones produced nine tracks on Combs’ recent track Love album from September 2022 to November 2023.

The former employee said that while working on the project, he lived with the Bad Boy founder in various American cities and would also go on vacations with Combs out of the country. Jones claims that during this time he “witnessed, experienced and endured many things that far exceeded his role as a producer on the Love album.”

Combs’ grown son, Justin; his chief of staff, Kristina Khorram; Universal Music Group CEO Sir Lucian Grainge; and former Motown Records CEO Ethiopia Habtemariam are also named as defendants in the 73-page lawsuit.

Jones claims that his role as a videographer meant he was “required” to “constantly” film the “Last Night” artist.

“As a result, Mr. Jones secured HUNDREDS of hours of video and audio recordings of Mr. Combs, his staff and his guests engaging in serious illegal activities,” the court document said.

“Throughout the time he lived with Mr. Combs, Mr. Jones was the victim of constant unwanted and unauthorized groping and touching of his anus by Mr. Combs,” Jones’ lawsuit adds.

The former employee also claims that at one point he was asked to work in Combs’ bathroom and that the music director “walked around naked and showered in a clear glass enclosure,” which made Jones feel uncomfortable.

Jones claims he expressed his concerns to Khorram, and she dismissed the “groping of Mr. Jones’s anus and genitalia as a friendly prank.”

Jones also alleges in his lawsuit that Combs showed him a video of American DJ, producer and television personality Stevie J having anal sex with a man.

According to the prosecutor, Combs knew that Jones “looked up to and idolized” Stevie J and used the tape as a way to win him over. “This is normal practice in the music industry, and even Stevie J does it,” Combs told his employee at the time.

Jones also alleges that on Thanksgiving 2022, a cousin of Combs’ then-girlfriend, Yung Miami, sexually assaulted him as well “in the presence of Mr. Combs and his staff.”

Jones claimed Combs brought prostitutes to his Miami home and said he was drugged and possibly raped on one occasion.

In addition to the alleged use of various drugs, Jones claims to possess tapes of “Mr. Combs supplies alcoholic beverages to minors and sex workers at his homes in California, New York, the US Virgin Islands and Florida.”

“Litigation should never be the first option for a dispute. We filed the motion because of the other party’s refusal to negotiate,” Jones’ attorney, Tyrone A. Blackburn, told PEOPLE.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Shawn Holley, Combs’ attorney, wrote, “Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly seeking an undeserved payout. His wanton name-calling of events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines. We have conclusive, indisputable proof that his claims are a complete lie. Our attempts to share this evidence with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will deal with these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those making them.”

A representative for Justin Combs told TMZ, “Justin Combs categorically denies these absurd allegations. They are all lies! This is a clear example of a desperate person taking desperate measures in hopes of getting paid. There will be legal consequences for ANY defamatory statements made about the family Combs.”
