It wasn’t just stormy encounters and love triangles that caught the attention of fans on Love Island All Stars.
Viewers have been going crazy for the contestants’ stunning swimsuits – which seem to be getting more and more skimpy with each series.

Experts believe the infamous ITV2 dating show could be causing a huge swath of swimwear shopping in Britain in January, with bikini sales up a whopping 90 per cent, according to research by Simply Be.
While there’s no doubt that the islanders look great lounging around the pool in their cut-out swim trunks, how practical are they for swimming?
Brave Roxy Sullivan, 34, a personal trainer and triathlete from Bristol, put them to the test by swimming 10 lengths, doing a mixture of front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke.
She rated each costume out of five based on style, comfort and durability – and came up with some surprising results…

Roxy says: “This was a surprisingly comfortable swim, but then I looked down and noticed my right nipple had fallen out after six lengths.
“Style-wise, Molly’s is one of my favorites, but I wouldn’t wear it on the beach because I’d end up with pretty tan lines.”

“I thought it was going to fall apart as soon as I got in the pool.
“But he was surprisingly tough and after 10 lengths of breaststroke, backstroke and front crawl he stood the test of time.”

“I also have a slightly odd one-sided jacket on one side that doesn’t look great. I’m not sure Kaz’s two-piece would last much longer.”

“My nipple popped out after just one length of crawling backwards, and another popped out not long after! It also gave me a matching jacket.
“If I wore this to my local recreation center, I would definitely give the grannies a heart attack! Ladies, this is just for posing.”

Roxy: “I don’t really like bikinis with ties on the side because they’re not very tight and tend to come undone when you’re swimming.
“Although I love a skimpy, sexy look, I didn’t have high hopes for this one – and it turns out I was right!
“After 10 lengths the front of the pants puffed up and looked like a nappy. I thought it was going to fly off at any moment, so Georgia’s bikini is not for me.”

“My bum doesn’t know if it’s coming or going and was trying to escape the whole time I was swimming, which was very unacceptable!
“Style-wise, Liberty’s are one of my favorites because they make me feel very glamorous. But the bottoms are too baggy for my taste and ended up being 10 lengths.”

Roxy says: “Style-wise, Georgia is nice and sparse, but a bit boring compared to some of the other styles.
“I didn’t have too much faith in it and I thought bits and pieces were going to pop out, but I was proven wrong and he stayed after 10 lengths.
“However, it was completely see-through when wet, which isn’t ideal – especially when you’re smuggling peanuts!”
