Seema’s father is industrialist Om Prakash Jindal. OP Jindal died in a plane crash in 2005. He founded the Jindal Group and its businesses. He served as Power Minister in the Haryana government until his death in 2005. Seema’s mother Savitri Jindal took over the Jindal Group after her husband’s death. Savitri is an Indian National Congress politician and was named the richest woman in India by Forbes in 2023.
Seema has eight brothers and sisters. Naveen Jindal is an industrialist, philanthropist, athlete and Indian National Congress politician. Naveen is a member of Lok Sabha. He is the Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited (formerly Jindal Strips Limited) and the Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University. Sajjan Jindal is Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group. Prithviraj Jindal is the Non-Executive Chairman of Jindal SAW Limited. Ratan Jindal is the Chairman of Jindal Stainless Steel Limited. Seema’s other siblings include Sarika Jhunjhunwala, Urmila Bhuwalka and Nirmala Goel.

Seema Jajodia is a certified health coach and the founder and managing director of Nourish Organics. In 2008, she opened Nourish Organics café in Delhi, selling fresh, organic and raw juices and smoothies. Seema started selling healthy packaged foods in 2009 after two of her relatives were diagnosed with cancer and she noticed a gap in the market for organic and natural packaged foods. In an interview, Seema talked about why she started the company, saying:
Many life-threatening health complications have forced some of my closest family members to choose to eat organic foods. I conducted research to understand the impact of organic as a long-term lifestyle choice, and Nourish Organics was born. “
Nourish Organics sells items such as breakfast cereals, nutrition bars, healthy cookies and snacks. According to Nourish Organics, their products have been “certified organic” by a certification body recognized by the Agricultural Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). Nourish is certified by USDA, Intertek, India Organic and United Register of Systems.

In 2018, controversy arose amid allegations that Seema Jajodia had helped her brother Sajjan Jindal’s company JSW Steel in bidding and benefiting him under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code by transferring her shares in Monnet Ispat & Energy. Seema’s share transfer was described as “advanced” and later came under scrutiny. JSW Group Chief Financial Officer Seshagiri Rao denied the claims, calling them “absolutely false”.
