Select Dunkin’ Locations in the U.S. Are Facing a Mysterious Doughnut Shortage: ‘Tragic!’

Donut lovers beware! A donut shortage recently occurred at several Dunkin’ locations in Nebraska, according to reports.

Store locations in Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island had no donuts on their shelves Thursday, Jan. 9, and Friday, Jan. 10, according to the Associated Press.

While talking to Omaha World-Harold, Bryce Bares, who owns several Dunkin’ franchises in the state, said some of his locations received substandard products, which resulted in donuts not being sold at those locations. He also told the outlet that supply partners have since resolved the issue and that its locations will soon be selling donuts again.

According to the AP, local Dunkin’ fans in Omaha weren’t thrilled about missing their usual morning candy.

“What? No donuts! That’s tragic!” said one local woman as she stopped by a west Omaha location after her night shift as a phlebotomist on Jan. 10. “Let’s hope they have them soon,” she added.
