Selena Gomez Casts a Spell in Red at Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Premiere

Selena Gomez looks magical.

The Disney star (32) had her eyes on her at the film’s world premiere Wizards Beyond Waverly Place at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, October 28.

Gomez, who reprises her role as Alex Russo on the Disney series, arrived at the event in a red sequinned midi dress. A structured sweetheart neckline added the perfect amount of drama, along with a peplum waist.

She wore red lounge shoes to enhance her look.

Her hair was styled in shoulder-length waves and her make-up was fun and flirty with a bit of shimmer on her lids, rosy cheeks and gloss on her lips.

Ahead of the world premiere, Gomez made a quick — but important — stop.

“On the way to wizards prime minister,” she said in a selfie video posted on her TikTok account.

Gomez then turned the camera to show off her 2024 presidential ballot. “IT’S TIME TO GO TO VOTE!!!” she titled the clip, which was set to Chappell Roan’s song “Hot to Go.”

Then he showed the video Just the murders in the building the actress walks down the sidewalk, dressed in glamorous style (even waving to a local food truck along the way), to drop off her ballot in a ballot box.

After voting, Gomez added her “I Voted” sticker to her red purse and headed to the red carpet.

After she arrived at the El Capitan Theater, Gomez posed with her Wizards Beyond Waverly Place costars.

The series reboot also sees the return of her TV brother David Henrie as Justin Russo. Newer talent includes Taylor Cora (Winter), Mimi Gianopulos (Giada Russo), Janice LeAnn Brown (Billie), Max Matenko (Milo Russo) and Alkaio Thiele (Roman Russo) — who appeared with Gomez for a group photo at the special event.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows a grown-up Justin who has “chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family”, but things are shaken when Alex suddenly shows up on his doorstep.

“Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor a wizard-in-training while juggling his day-to-day responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizarding World,” according to the official synopsis.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place premieres with two episodes on Tuesday, October 29, at 8:00 PM ET on Disney Channel. The first nine episodes will be available to stream on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand the following day.
