Selena Gomez Kicks Off Cannes in a Flirty, $495 Dress: All About Her Chic Look!

Selena Gomez made a glamorous arrival in France for the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

The 31-year-old singer and actress kicked off her time at the annual film festival by shopping and greeting fans in a flirty, simple and chic all-white look perfect for the French Riviera. The star wore a white knit peplum mini dress by clothing brand Self-Portrait (available now for $495) and white and black flip-flops by Roger Vivier.

She completed the look with round white Etnia Barcelona sunglasses and a small Aspinal of London bag in white and raffia. Her dark hair was pulled back into a smooth bun.

Gomez stars in Emilia Perez, an official selection at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival. The premiere of the film is scheduled for Saturday, May 18.

On the official Cannes website, the synopsis reads: “Overqualified and underrated, Rita is a lawyer at a big firm more interested in catching criminals than bringing them to justice. One day, she’s given an unexpected outlet when the leader of the Manitas cartel hires her to help him to retire from his job and realize the plan he’s been secretly preparing for years: to become the woman he’s always dreamed of.”

Gomez’s matching white look is in keeping with her recent monochromatic fashion line.

The Matrix-inspired look consisted of an oversized black leather jacket by Ducie London and a black leather corset dress by Brandon Maxwell. She accessorized with Black Suede Studio black open-toe pumps, black Linda Farrow cat-eye sunnies, and subtle jewelry by Stephanie Gottlieb Fine Jewelry.

Gomez wore a spring-appropriate silky pink button-up dress with a subtle paisley pattern. She added a baby pink coat over her shoulders for a casual look and accessorized it with pointy pink loafers with little ribbons on them.
