Just the murders in the building didn’t just earn Selena Gomez her first Emmy nominations—it also earned her two lifelong friends.
Gomez, 31, stars alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short in the Hulu series, and shared a sweet collection of photos with her co-stars on Instagram on Sunday, showing just how deep their love for one another runs.
The incredible post included some photos from the series of Gomez with Martin, 78, and Short, 73, including one of her cuddled up to Martin as they walk, and another of her holding bunny ears behind the two actors’ heads.
Gomez also shared some sweet snaps of her hugging her castmates at various events, along with a photo of herself with Short on the red carpet, taking a shot at something he probably said. She titled the post “Trio”.
The show’s Instagram account showed the love in a post with the caption, “BFFs ❤️.” Hulu also chimed in, writing “this friendship 🥹.”
Since the series premiered in 2021, Gomez and her co-stars have formed a strong bond, and the Rare Beauty founder said TheWrap in June that she picked up something from her veteran scene partners.
“They helped sharpen my skills,” she said of the pair’s impressive comedy history. “I hope to be as funny as them one day. They are really gifted at creating a situation out of nothing and making people laugh and I admire that deeply.”

Before she started filming the series, she said she was “worried that I would be a bit lonely because I would be on set and be with Steve and Marty most of the time”, but her worries were quickly put to rest.
“The moment I came on set, they made me feel included. They asked questions about my character and valued my opinion. In the end, they just took me under their wing and teased me, made me laugh and had words of wisdom when I needed them. All the fear of me feeling like I’m going to be alone is gone and now they’re my boys,” Gomez said.
She added of Short and Martin: “I was just watching their videos and I got emotional because I was like, ‘Those are my boys.’ Some of my best friends are 70 years old.”

As for what the award-winning actors thought of her before they met her, Short told PEOPLE that working with Gomez was seamless from the start.
“Right away — from the first second we walked into the makeup room — it was, like, fantastic,” he said, sharing that he had his concerns before then.
“The first day we were shooting, I never met Selena. Because of COVID, we just zoomed in,” he recalled. “I was driving to work and thought, I wonder what Selena might be like? I mean, it could be a nightmare. It could be a pop princess’s nightmare.”
