Former Destiny’s Child Members Support Beyoncé During Her Renaissance World Tour Concert Film Premiere in L.A.

Beyoncé’s premiere renaissance The Concert Film World Tour was a star-studded event — and four of her former Destiny’s Child bandmates were there to celebrate.

Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett were on hand at Sunday’s premiere in Los Angeles to support their friend as she documented the feat that blew her away renaissance World tour.

Although the band members weren’t photographed together, both took to social media to celebrate Beyoncé’s accomplishments — and share their love for each other.

Rowland, 42, shared a few solo snaps of her silver sequin dress and wrote on Instagram about the film: “Renaissance film NOT TO BE MISSED! Really inspired! #so proud of you BB!”

Roberson, 42 — who founded the group in 1990 alongside Rowland, Beyoncé and Luckett — also shared her love for the film and its star on Instagram, writing: “Tonight was amazing congrats Bey 💋.”

Luckett, 42, also chimed in, sharing some of her solo footage and praising the incredible work ethic and talent Beyoncé displayed in the film. “@beyonce put her heart into this movie. I danced, sang, cried and laughed in that theater as well as in the play. This woman is AMAZING,” Luckett wrote. “It is a true honor to witness and be a part of her wonderful journey. Love ALWAYS, LeToya ❤️.”

Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, commented on all three of her daughter’s friends’ posts, saying Rowland looked “so gorgeous,” Luckett looked “beautiful,” and of Roberson’s solo shots, she said, “Yes!!”

Knowles, 69, also shared her own post to highlight the stunning looks of the former Destiny’s Child stars as she gushed to the group, “How beautiful all these ladies are and beautiful souls❤️❤️❤️.”

Williams took to Instagram on Saturday to share a series of beautiful solo shots from the evening, and on Sunday she shared a video message of her “thoughts” about the film.

“Beyonce’s new movie is awesome, it’s amazing. Trying to find an adjective that fits,” Williams, 44, said in the selfie-style video. “Every time she shows the world something, she just keeps showing a new level of how hard she works and still balances her personal life, being a wife, a mother, a sister, a friend, a daughter… She does it all.”

She continued: “She does everything with such excellence, she doesn’t take no for an answer – especially when she knows it can be done. I’ll never forget hearing her say, ‘If I dreamed it, it could happen.’ She literally says: ‘If I dreamed it, I want to see my dream come true.’ ”

Commenting on Williams’ video, Roberson revealed that she unfortunately didn’t see her former bandmate at the event. “I wish I could have seen you all sitting everywhere 😍😍😍😍.”

The only member of Destiny’s Child who did not attend the film’s premiere was Farrah Franklin, who joined the group after Roberson and Luckett left, only to quit after a few months.

The beloved ’90s girl group’s reunion in LA on Saturday comes after the five previously reunited during Beyoncé’s hometown show in Houston in September.

The NRG Stadium gathering quickly went viral after fans spotted Rowland, Williams, Roberson and Luckett in attendance at the show and when the trailer for Beyoncé’s renaissance concert film released during the Macy’s Day Parade on Thanksgiving last week, footage of all the girls together backstage was spotted.

About 40 seconds into the two-minute trailer, the black-and-white video shows Beyoncé hugging Roberson, while Rowland hugs Luckett next to her. Williams stood in the middle of the two hugs, watching her longtime friends hug each other.
