‘Selling the OC’ Star Alexandra Rose Says Rift with Alexandra Jarvis ‘Wasn’t a Surprise’ (Exclusive)

Friendships are fickle in the reality world – just ask I am selling OC co-stars Alexandra Rose and Alexandra Jarvis.

The two aspiring realtors seemed practically inseparable during the first season of the Netflix reality show, knocking on doors together to meet potential new clients and conspiring over glasses of purified water to become Orange County’s next real estate giants.

But in the second season of the series, the once close co-workers quickly drifted apart.

Jarvis did not approve of Rose’s flirting with clients, and Rose saw the client’s meeting with Jarvis’ fiance as dishonest scheming.

The tension finally escalated into an all-out brawl during a house demolition event hosted by Kayla Cardona — and the two realtors’ working relationship hasn’t been the same since.

“There were a lot of things that drove it,” Jarvis tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Rose and I met during the first season and had instant real estate success.”

“When we were knocking on doors, we were fine. But we got to know each other on a professional and somewhat personal level,” she continues.

Jarvis adds that she never viewed Rose as a “close friend,” explaining, “Our relationship was very superficial, but we worked well together for a while. Then things changed. Things happen, and some of them obviously will never be in front of the cameras, but it had to happen.”

The end of their friendship and working relationship was not a shock to Rose either.

“It wasn’t a surprise, because of all the events that happened,” she explains. “I think everything was meant to be and I just don’t think we were meant to work together.”

The two mediators are not currently on speaking terms. But just because they’re flying solo now doesn’t mean their business is hurting.

According to Rose, the broker has sold four homes this year and currently has an $8.7 million listing in San Diego, as well as a $7 million listing in Huntington Harbor, Orange County.
