Serena Williams Poses Outdoors During Picturesque Getaway: ‘When Someone Tells You to Go Take a Hike’

Serena Williams is enjoying a well-deserved getaway!

The tennis great, 42, took to Instagram on Saturday to share a carousel of holiday snaps, showing her spending time outside and striking a few poses in the process.

“When someone tells you ‘go hike…'” Williams jokingly captioned the images, which include shots of her standing in front of the island’s picturesque scenery.

While Williams herself didn’t specify her destination in the post, she did strike a few poses on a wooden footbridge, on a cliff overlooking a stunning body of water, and while sitting on a bench surrounded by greenery. The last shot in the carousel showed the view from above, with lush green trees in the foreground and the turquoise sea in the distance.

Some fans in the comments section even asked if Williams was enjoying herself in the Bahamas – believing she was on the Caribbean island based on the blue water and scenery in the photos.

The tennis superstar, who wore a black Nike zip top and leggings, as well as a white pair of Nike sneakers, completed her look with stylish black sunglasses for the winter trip.

Serena Williams shares photo of herself cuddling baby Adira after saying she’s ‘not feeling well today’: ‘This makes me so happy’

In August, Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian welcomed their second baby girl, Adira River Ohanian, announcing the news on social media with a touching family photo.

Ohanian, 40, shared the introductory photos of the baby — which also includes their 6-year-old Olympia — on his own Instagram page, writing that he “feels grateful” for the newest addition to their family.

“I am grateful to be able to report that our house is joining forces [sic] With love: a happy and healthy newborn baby girl and a happy and healthy mom. A feeling of gratitude. @serenawilliams, you have now given me another incomparable gift – you are GMOAT,” he wrote.

“Thank you to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife and our daughter 🙏 I will never forget the moment I met @olympiaohanian with her little sister.”

Since giving birth to her little one, Williams has been candid about her motherhood journey on social media, from a behind-the-scenes look at her abs workout to noting that her life “wasn’t as glamorous as you think” to spilling her breast milk on TikTok after an event on the red carpet.

Earlier this month, the recently retired tennis player took to Instagram to describe how she even donated extra breast milk during a trip to New York.

“After I passed the test, I was able to donate it instead of taking the milk home,” Williams wrote alongside the video on Instagram. “I know so many amazing women who adopt or can’t produce milk. It felt amazing. BTW Someone out there is getting some super soldier milk. 🤭.”

“It will be anonymous, but I’m very excited to help in some way,” she was heard saying in the video.
