In June 2009, Shanelle was appointed as a Judicial Clerk to assist Justice AS Oka of India, who was promoted to Justice of the Supreme Court of India on August 26, 2021. After serving as a Judicial Clerk for two months, Shanelle joined Hariani and Company in Mumbai as a trainee in June 2010 and served the organization for ten months. In June 2011, she joined Wadia Ghandy & Company, a Mumbai-based law firm, as a trainee solicitor, where she served until May 2014. From September 2014 to May 2015, Shanelle assisted the Solicitor General of India as an attorney. In January 2016, she joined the Washington, D.C., law firm Foley Hoag LLP as a legal intern and worked at the firm for four months. In September 2016, Shanelle was appointed as an intern at the US law firm Kelley Drye & Warren LLP and worked there until March 2017. From April 2017 to September 2017, she served as an international arbitration intern at WilmerHale Law Firm. Law firm based in London, UK.
