Shania Twain Says Rocking Neon Pink Hair in Her 50s Has Allowed Her to 'Feel and Look Younger'

Shania Twain “embraces aging” in a modern way.

In a new interview with Extra, the country-pop icon, 58, said she’s “okay” with getting older. “I have no choice, I can’t change it. I decided I had to have fun with what I couldn’t change, Twain said.

One of those changes included graying, which she began to embrace by experimenting with colorful hair changes.

“Of course I can dye my hair, but what I wanted to get used to is ‘how do I look when my hair gets lighter and lighter and lighter?’ ” that’s how she came up with her latest pink cotton candy hairstyle, which was revealed by hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos on Instagram on April 18. Twain later posted her punk-looking selfie, which was actually a wig, on May 7.

“The pink surprisingly made me look and feel younger, and it’s so light it’s practically grey. So it was a very good surprise,” she added.

Twain sported the same rose-blonde shade in January 2023 and at the 2022 People’s Choice Awards, where she shocked fans with a bold hair color similar to the one she wore in the 1997 music video for “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”
