Shannen Doherty Seeks Spousal Support as Charmed Residuals 'Dramatically Decrease'

Shannen Doherty claims her income will “drop dramatically” after that. Enchanted it disappears from the streaming service later this month.

According to paperwork filed Friday, June 14 in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, 90210 star is seeking spousal support from estranged husband Kurt Iswarienko amid the couple’s divorce and her ongoing battle with cancer.

The actress is asking Iswarienko to pay $15,434 a month, retroactive to June 1, 2024, and contribute $9,100 to her attorney’s fees and costs.

In the filing, Doherty, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, says she has been unable to work due to “recurring health issues” and has “no prospects for future employment.”

After going into remission in 2017, the 53-year-old actress revealed in February 2020 that the cancer had returned, and late last year she told PEOPLE that it had spread to her bones. In last week’s filing, it is stated that she has not worked since 2022.

As a result, Doherty says in the filing, “Today, almost all of the income I earn is residual income from the work I did before marriage.”

“I found that out recently Enchanted will no longer stream on any major streaming platform after June 30, 2024,” she says in the filing. “As a result, my future residual income will decrease dramatically.”

Doherty says her inability to work will also cause her to lose her SAG health insurance, which will increase her medical expenses, which she claimed were over $21,000 last year. She says her income as of this year is $25,732.

“Although Kurt’s income is significantly greater than mine, he has made no interim spousal support payments and has made no contribution to my legal or accounting fees and expenses since our divorce action was filed,” Doherty says in the filing.

She adds, “Kurt has similarly refused to provide basic information about his income for 2023. Accordingly, my attorneys will be filing a Motion to Compel that information.”

Doherty says she helped Iswarienko, a photographer, “get her finances in order” during their marriage. “I know the value of his photography work because he consulted me regularly and my help was invaluable,” she says.

Doherty claims in the filing that while she has “excessive medical expenses not covered by insurance to undergo experimental treatments in hopes of prolonging my life,” she alleges Iswarienko “spent thousands of dollars on spas, jewelry stores, Gucci” while ” claimed that he did not have enough means to support me”.

PEOPLE has reached out to Iswarienko’s rep for comment.
