Shannon Storms Beador opens up about ex-boyfriend John Janssen’s new romance The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Alexis Bellino.
The Bravolebrity, 59, explained why their relationship was particularly painful given her difficult past with Bella. In 2018, General Hospital star’s ex-husband, Jim Bellino, sued Storms Beador and Tamra Judge for defamation.
As PEOPLE reported in October 2020, she won the case, but not without losing hundreds of thousands of dollars in the defense process.
“John is very familiar with the litigation that I was involved in with Jim Bellino, and Alexis was involved in that litigation,” the reality star said. Hey! News. “For years I was financially and emotionally destroyed. And I won. But it destroyed me financially. And I’m a single mother. John is aware of that.”

Alexis Bellino is dating John Janssen, Shannon Beador’s ex, amid rumors RHOC Return (exclusive)
Storms Beador has admitted she is “hurt” by their new romance and admits she is stunned by Jannsen’s choice of dates.
“I’ve been really hurt the last few weeks because, No. 1, John said he doesn’t want to be in the public eye, and at this point he’s gotten more out of the public eye,” she added. “So I’m pretty confused about that.”
Last November, Janssen ended his romance with Storms Beador, a week after filming the 17th season of the hit Bravo series. Janssen’s desire to keep their relationship private was a big story in the latest installment. The two remained friends but stopped talking in late September, shortly after she was arrested for DUI.

“I don’t know how to process that. How many Orange County housewives were there?” she added. “Is that your date of choice?”
As for Bella, PEOPLE confirmed that she and fiancé Andy Bohn split in September, ending their engagement three years after he proposed in December 2020.
Amidst their splits, Janssen and Bellino met through mutual friends last month at The Quiet Woman restaurant in Orange County, one of Storms Beador’s frequent stomping grounds and the site of one of the most infamous moments in RHOC history.
PEOPLE then exclusively confirmed earlier this week that the two were dating.

“They don’t use labels like boyfriend or girlfriend right now, but they spend a lot of time together and enjoy learning about each other,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE.
Hard times brought Bellin and Janssen together, according to the source. “The two were supportive friends as they navigated their new single life,” says the insider. “This shared background paired with mutual attraction made it easy for Alexis and John to form a natural connection.”
