Shannon Devido Disability

DeVido was born with spinal muscular atrophy and is a native of Philadelphia. She was confined to a wheelchair for a long time. Movement is difficult due to this inherited disorder that weakens the muscles. Although the problem is serious and will get worse over time, there are medications that can help control the symptoms.

Shannon believes that announcing the BAFTA trailer will introduce people, perhaps change their minds about what a disabled artist is capable of and help everyone else by opening doors.

DeVido had a natural sense of humor, but was initially not interested in being a comedian. She wanted to do athletics.

He suddenly made the decision to join an improv group and became interested in the field of comedy and acting. He got into improv theater after numerous unsuccessful audition calls, when he discovered that humor was his specialty.
