Early life and education
Sharla McBride was born in the United States on December 28, 1984 in Austin, Texas. Richard and Teresa McBride gave birth to Sharla McBride. The Bronze Star and the Combat Infantryman Medal were awarded to her father for his service in the United States Army Combat Infantry in Vietnam in 1969-1970. She grew up with her brother Richard McBride Jr.

Sports broadcaster Michael Sorce, sometimes known as Don Geronimo, was fired Sunday by WBIG-FM after he made sexist remarks to a female reporter covering the Washington Commanders, according to the New York Post.
