Sharon Stone Says She Met ‘Convicted Felon’ and Man with ‘20,000 Heroin Injections’ While Online Dating

Sharon Stone is open about her mixed experiences with online dating.

In a new interview for a British newspaper Time published on Friday, the actress, 65, recalled how one man she met was a convicted felon, while another, she told the paper, was “a heroin addict who was apparently 20,000 injections of heroin overdue from the picture I was given sent.”

Stone met the latter at the Bel-Air Hotel in Los Angeles and explained to the outlet that she was on their date, explaining, “I tell the waiter, ‘I’m going to have a glass of water.’ He had a cocktail: absinthe or something. And I said, ‘I’m sorry, I can’t stay.’ ”

However, Stone admitted that she has also had positive experiences with dating apps, including two relationships that remained virtual during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I was almost like a therapist,” she said. “The one whose wife told him she wanted a divorce and they had two young children. He struggled to process it. AND [the other] broke up with his girlfriend. She got pregnant and instead of getting married, she had an abortion… He was still very much in love with her and I helped him sort it out. It was really rewarding for both of us. I don’t know how to explain it.”

And when it comes to her love life, Stone has high hopes for 2024. “This is the year I want to fall in love — 100 percent,” she told Time.

But far from an exhaustive list of requirements for a partner, Stone instead said, “I’m not asking for anything. I never asked for anything. Because I don’t think that’s happening. You’re standing somewhere, someone comes up to you and starts talking, and you turn around and think, ‘What?’ And the next thing you know, it’s been two years.”

She continued, “You don’t ask for a list and then your list arrives. That’s what people who don’t have relationships do. So they can take comfort in the fact that they don’t have a relationship and feel like I’m actively trying to make that happen in their lives.”

In February 2023, Stone’s friend and Muse actress Andie MacDowell revealed that the Oscar nominee gave her online dating advice.

“I had Sharon Stone call me to say she was on Raya,” MacDowell, 65, revealed during an appearance on Show Jennifer Hudson. “Raya, that’s what I’m going to do. She said she met two gay guys there and that’s all she got from Raya!”

“But it still sounds kind of fun. That could be fun,” host Jennifer Hudson continued.
