Career
Sharrieff Shah began his career as a football player for the University of Utah in 1990. However, after three consecutive seasons, Shah suffered a career-ending neck injury three games into his senior year. Shah was named an All-Western Athletic Conference honorable mention safety in 1991. Sports Illustrated also named him the National Defensive Player of the Week.
His coaching experience includes coaching cornerbacks and successfully recruiting five NFL cornerbacks. In 2019, Shah coached Jaylon Johnson to All-American status. He similarly coached Indianapolis’ 2020 draft pick Julian Blackmon. In contrast, Javelin K Guidry signed a 2020 free agent contract with the New York Jets. He is currently an assistant coach at the University of Utah.
In addition, he decided to pursue a legal career.
