On May 12, 1985, Shashi Kaushik married Satish Kaushik, a famous actor, director, comedian and producer. The couple had a son, Shanu Kaushik, who died in 1996 at the age of two. On July 15, 2012, their daughter Vanshika Kaushik was born through surrogacy. Satish, 66, died of a heart attack on March 9, 2023, on his way to a hospital in Gurgaon, Haryana.

In 2019, Shashi produced the Haryanvi film Chorriyan Chhoron Se Kam Nahi Hoti, starring Satish Kaushik as Jaidev Choudhary. In 2021, she co-produced the Hindi film Kaagaz, directed and cast by Satish Kaushik; Satish played lawyer Sadhoram Kewat in the film.

My wife Shashi knows about my relationship with Neena and she is a frequent visitor to our house. She understood and respected our friendship. “
- Shashi Kaushik’s husband Satish celebrates Holi with friends in New Delhi on March 8, 2023. In the early morning of March 9, Satish complained of physical discomfort and restlessness, and subsequently died of a heart attack on the way to Fortis Hospital in Gurgaon.
