In a symbol of his growing importance, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al-Nahyan has been appointed chairman of the $790 billion Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, the world’s leading sovereign wealth fund.

Sheikh Tahnoon serves as the national security adviser for the United Arab Emirates and is also the chairman of state holding ADQ, First Abu Dhabi Bank, the country’s largest lender, and International Holding Corporation.
