Shibani Dandekar is an Indian-Australian model, singer, anchor, VJ and actor. She rose to fame by hosting the Indian Premier League (IPL) from 2011 to 2015.

She was born to Indian parents and spent much of her childhood in London, Africa, and later in Kingsgrove, New South Wales, a suburb of Sydney, Australia.

Growing up, she was particularly interested in music and sports. She and her sisters founded a band called D-Major. After completing her studies, she moved to New York where she worked as a model and presenter. Her life took a turn when she got the opportunity to host an event called “An Evening in Atlantic City with Shah Rukh Khan,” which gave her the much-needed break she was looking for. Since then, she has never looked back.

She was reportedly dating Keith Sequeira in 2010 when he co-hosted 2010 AXN’s Men 2.0. Interestingly, Shibani and Rochelle Rao have co-hosted the IPL and Keith married Rochelle in 2018.

In 2015, she participated in Zee TV’s I Can Do That, in which Shibani and Dino Morea shocked everyone by kissing in front of everyone, which was a pre-planned move. Interestingly, it was Farhan Akhtar who hosted the show at that time.

Shibani has always been fascinated by the world of glamor. In 2001, she moved to New York from Australia and initially hosted shows such as Namaste America, V Desi, and the Asian Variety Show. In addition to hosting, she also worked as a model for a while. It was her hosting skills on A Night with Shah Rukh Khan in Atlantic City that gave her the much-needed break and recognition.
After coming to India, she continued her hosting journey and hosted shows such as “AXN’s Men 2.0”, “The Stage”, “Style And The City” and “Top Model India”.
