Shoaib was born on June 20, 1987 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. When he was young, his father wanted him to be a singer, while his mother wanted him to be an actor. He later chose acting career and rose to fame with his role as Prem Bharadwaj in the TV series Sasural Simar Ka (2011-2013).

He was educated at Hills Public School, Bhopal and received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering (CSE). After completing his studies, he joined the entertainment industry. In 2009, he made his acting debut in the TV series Rehna Hai Teri Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein, playing the role of Karan. In 2011, he played the lead role for the first time in the TV series Sasural Simar Ka, playing the role of Prem Bhardwaj opposite Dipika Kakar.
In 2017, he participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye Season 8 with his dance partner Dipika Kakar and reached the final four.
