Shocking moment man kicks in door before stabbing daughter’s father-in-law to death in row over wedding gifts

HORRIFYING footage shows the moment an attacker smashes down a door with a knife before stabbing his daughter’s father-in-law to death.

Ahmad Alsino, 43, confronted dentist Mohammed Salem Ibrahim, 55, on his own doorstep over a dispute over wedding gifts for their children.

Alsin, who stabbed Ibrahim four times with Gino D’Acampo’s kitchen knife, was followed by officers across Birmingham before his arrest.

The couple allegedly got into an argument over the gold jewelry they gave their children at their wedding.

Alsino also attacked his daughter’s husband, Aram Ibrahim, who was seriously injured but survived.

Police have released footage of the killer’s movements before and after the horrific attack, after which the knife-wielding attacker is seen getting into his car to flee the scene.

And in dramatic scenes, officers arrested him at gunpoint less than an hour after the stabbing on March 13 this year.

Meanwhile, emergency services rushed to the scene of the murder in Castle Vale but were unable to save the tragic father-of-five.

The chilling video shows Alsino calmly getting into his car, driving to Ibrahim’s house and aggressively kicking the door as an unknown person stands behind him.

He then lunges at the person inside – a door camera catches him waving a knife above his head.

After the brutal ambush, Alsino appears to get back into his car and drive home the way he came before being cornered by officers at his cul-de-sac in Northfield.

Armed officers jump out of the line of cars, holding him at gunpoint as he lies face down before the police handcuff him.

The video then shows the police searching his car, where they find a plastic bag containing two knives.

Forensics later found Ibrahim’s blood on the weapon.

Alsino allegedly drove his pregnant daughter Lylan to the property where a heated argument broke out with her partner.

He tried to break down the door with his foot, and when Ibrahim went outside, he attacked him with three knife wounds in the chest.

Alsino was found guilty of murder, attempted murder and possession of a knife after a three-week trial at Birmingham Crown Court.

He was jailed for life last week and ordered to serve at least 26 years after his sentence at the same court.

During sentencing, Judge Simon Drew said: “You took your pregnant daughter to Cadbury Drive to collect some of her belongings from the house where she lived with her husband Aram and the Ibrahim family.

“When Lylan was in the house, you waited by the car, angry and upset, but not looking for a confrontation.

“When Mohammed Ibrahim came out of the house he invited you in. This ignited things, your anger rose and you refused his invitation.

“When Lylan later phoned, claiming she had been attacked, you believed her and because of that you lost your temper and armed yourself with a knife.

“You went to the door to force your way in to get her out, but you didn’t open it.

“When the door opened, you saw Lylan, Mr. Ibrahim, and Aram in the front hallway.

“You then launched an unprovoked attack on Mr Ibrahim and Aram, initially with your fists and then using a knife on both of them in a violent rage, stabbing each several times.”

The judge added: “I am convinced that you must have intended to kill Mohammed when you stabbed him.

“You knew that you seriously injured two men, but you did not give them help and you left the scene of the accident without contacting the emergency services.

“The entire Ibrahim family, who came to this country to seek refuge, were seriously affected by your actions that day.”

Ibrahim’s daughter said her father was the victim of a “barbaric and brutal” attack.

She said in a statement: “He was a highly respected dentist from the Kurdish community.

“He was a pillar of the community. He was not only known for his profession, but also for his generosity, kindness and wisdom to all who crossed his path.”

Detective Inspector Damian Forrest, from West Midlands Police, added: “Alsin’s decision to carry and use a knife resulted in the loss of his father’s life.

“His actions, which have rightly been brought to justice, highlight the irreversible impact such dangerous decisions can have.

“We know that nothing will bring Mr. Ibrahim back, but we hope that this sentence will bring comfort to his family and friends.”
