Showtime Has Renewed Uncoupled For A Second Season After Being Canceled By Netflix

Unrelated fans can celebrate as the show has been renewed for a second season, which will air on Showtime. After Netflix canceled the show, the network decided to revive it. Neil Patrick Harris plays Michael Lawson, Tuc Watkins plays Colin McKenna, and Tisha Campbell plays Suzanne Prentiss in Uncoupled. Marcia Gay Harden plays Claire Lewis, Emerson Brooks plays Billy Burns and Brooks Ashmanskas plays Stanley James.

Several performers appear in recurring roles on the show, including:

Michael Lawson, a middle-aged real estate agent, is abandoned by his longtime lover in Uncoupled. Michael has to get into his current dating scene now or he will be single for the rest of his life. The first season of the sitcom had an interesting plot as well as some hilarious moments. Netflix has specifically canceled a number of shows in recent months, including Inside Job, Warrior Nun, Resident Evil and 1899. Fans have expressed anger and outrage at the cancellation of these shows, but Netflix still no response yet.

I think we’re in a kind of situation. really lucky times, at least as performers, to be able to be on Uncoupled because a show like this wouldn’t have been done 10 years ago or just 5 years ago.

He goes on to note that the story is more of a coming-of-age story. It’s a story about young people struggling with their sexuality and what it means. The actor said it’s amazing that it’s a story that has been told and is still being told.

Showtime has joined Paramount+ and is currently developing several new series and spin-offs. They want to focus on stories with intelligent characters. Emily in Paris creator Darren Star and Modern Family writer Jeffrey Richman collaborated on Uncoupled.

According to the official synopsis of the show:

“Michael’s life seemed perfect until his long-time wife unexpectedly left him after 17 years of marriage. He was faced with a dream of losing his soulmate and found himself alone. single as a gay man in his 40s.”

The show’s first season consisted of eight episodes, each lasting between 27 and 31 minutes.
