Career
Between 2007 and 2016, Gonda made 244 appearances for FC Tokyo, now a J1 League side. During that time, he won two awards with the Japanese national team and four with Tokyo.
On 6 January 2010, he made his debut for the Japan national team against Yemen in a 2011 AFC Asian Cup qualifier. Across various youth levels, he made 32 appearances for Japan.
Gonda spent nine years with FC Tokyo before agreeing to sign a loan deal with Keisuke Honda’s Austrian regional league side SV Horn, which would keep him out of Japanese football until 31 December 2016.
